The aim of self-reflection is to discover fundamentals about our journey in life, specifically Why We Do What We Do (WWDWWD). Looking back a couple of years at Episode v1.02 on Pattern Recognition, I feel that I barely covered the topic considering how pervasive the skill and abundant the abuse is in our lives. Our brains operate with ancient programming that worked well for tens of thousands of years, protecting our bodies, finding food, staying out of harm. The problem in modern life is that the same functions mess up our decisions and learning because we're 100% wrong 50% of the time. The ancient systems applied to modern life bias us to jump to conclusions most of the time, relying on vague memories, half truths and popular narratives. Considering pattern recognition from a matrix of physical and psychological perspectives, cross referenced with micro and macro aspects will help considerably in exposing scotomas.
I seem to have given pattern recognition an unfair review considering how pervasive this is in our daily lives. Our cognitive biases basically use 20 watts to find a pattern of things as fast as possible considering a scarcity of resources. It's so easy to fixate on patterns that we fall for them, building a story and our life around them - true or false
Let's try to make some sense out of this. The way I did this was to sketch out a matrix - psychological and physical on one axis, and then micro and macro on the other axis.
I studied a conversation between Dr. Kevin Berg and a stage four cancer overcomer named Guy Tenenbaum.
Dr. Eric Berg For many years, Guy dealt with numerous health problems, including: • Type II diabetes • Hypertension • High cholesterol • Joint and bone pain • Chronic inflammation • Weight problems
Guy Tenenbaum The Oncologist told me; "yes we can do nothing. it's too late. Why did you wait so long?" When I went to the doctor since 2015 and they never told me I get something. The Oncologist told me; "it's too late. We're nothing to do for you. You will disappear soon - three months" And he told me I have six metastases in my bones.
Dr. Eric Berg "Quite a few doctors were not able to help him. I believe the turning point is where Guy basically disagreed with the prognosis and went in a different direction."
Guy Tenenbaum "Thank you because you know I become a U.S. Citizen two years ago and I would like to give something to my new country. It's what I did. To save American lives. 650,000 Americans die each year from cancer and I'm sure we can save a lot of them. Give them the reality that cancer is a metabolic disease. It's very simple and very easy to fight, not with chemicals. Give your body what you need. That's it. Then I need your help. I need your help to tell others."

"Onus probandi incumbit ei qui dicit, non ei qui negat" meaning: the burden of proof is on the claimant - not on the recipient!
